After 12 years of working with and under the ministry of our wonderful mother church, God called us to
Pioneer a new church. With my wife, children and the blessing and support of our leadership, we were
launched out of the 2002 Connectivity Bible Conference and began teaching a home Bible study in the
City of Redondo in the apartment of a family that was brought to Christ.
Soon thereafter, the apartment could not hold what God was birthing through this new church plant.
The apartment became too small for people to meet and there was a need for a building but there
were none to be found. After many, many months of business owners and churches turning us away,
God led us to the Sunrise Best Western Hotel in South Redondo Beach.
We began having services in conference rooms and were given favor through out the Hotel. The
workers at the front desk would tell their patrons that there was a church service upstairs and that all
were welcome. From that many travelers gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. We were in the Hotel for
about 15 months when God began to move again and a door was opened at Kings Harbor Church
just a few blocks away.
Kings Harbor Church out grew their facility and gave us the opportunity to move in and make that
building our home. We thank God for our Awesome Pastors (Omar Lopez & David Hernandez) and
also for Pastor Chris Cannon, Bryan Doleshel and the Kings Harbor Church family for having such a
giving spirit to not only my family but also to our congregation. They have helped us in so many ways
and we are forever grateful to them. Ever since then God has been doing marvelous things and
adding wonderful new families here at Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship of Redondo Beach.
